The Analysis Of Influential Factors Of Intra-industry Trade In Services Between China And The U.S.

On the background of the prevalence of low carbon economy, the changing of the economic growth mode is getting more and more concerns globally. The characteristics of service industry, such as low pollution, low power consumption and high added value meet the requirements of economic development mode conversion and trade structure adjustment. Intra-industry trade exists not only between developed countries, but also exists between developing countries, developed countries and developing countries. Based on the theories and research methods of intra-industry trade, this thesis discussed the current situation, characteristics and influential factors of intra-industry trade in services trade between China and the United States. According to the results of empirical analysis, this paper proposed some relative policies.Fisrt of all, the thesis introduced basic concepts of intra-industy, service trade, indictors and so on. Based on the theories and literature review, this thesis summarized the causes, measure indictors and influential factors of intra-industry. Then it analyzed the current overall situation of intra-industy trade of service in China, China and the U.S. The index showed that the level of intra-industry trade in services is relatively high, but not balanced among the industries.After that, this thesis analyzed the influential mechanism of each factor theoretically, and then adopted Unit root test, Cointegration test,VECM and Granger causality test to do empirical researches. The results indicated that improving the degree of openness in service industry benefits the intra-industry trade, and increasing trade volume in goods is beneficial too. However, the imbalance of service trade between China and the U.S. is negatively correlated to intra-industry trade level and the discrepancy of residents’ income between China and the U.S. is positively related to intra-industry trade level.On the basis of the above analysis, this thesis finally revealed the main conclusions, and proposed some suggestions on improving intra-industry trade in services between China and the U.S..
