Project Management Maturity (PMMM) is an important tool that assesses the ability of project management, but the research about the project management maturity is at the beginning in our country at present, especially the application of the PMMM on EPC is very few.In this paper, the EPC project as the rsearch object, according to PRINCE2PMMM and combing the advantages of the other models, based on the characteristics and the development of the EPC, the EPC Programmes Management Maturity is built.First of all, this paper discusses the development process of PRINCE2, and its definition and characteristics, as well as analyzes and summarizes the general rules and application procedures of PMMM.Second, the paper combined with the characteristics and concepts of EPC project management or programme management, and summarize the concept of EPC programme as well as the features about it’s management process, and analyzes the EPC programme’s the stage management and combination through the application of Concurrent Engineering. As the guidance of the general rules to build PMMM, it analyzes the principles and ideas about building EPC Programme PMMM, and its application methods, and builds a overall framework of the model.Finally, based on the PPINCE2Maturity Model, the management levels about the EPC Programme Maturity Model is given, and the evaluation system is built, as well as the recognition process at the basis of comprehensive evaluation system. Then it will be clear showing the organization’s strengths and weaknesses through the spider model, thus, the organization will improve the management process, so that it’s management capabilities will become mature.
