Logistics is a very important part of Fast Moving Consumer Goods Retailing management. Most of the successful retailing players worldwide are good at logistics. However, the logistics of many FMCG retailers is still underdeveloped, which is a huge barrier to their development and impacts their business profit. How to reduce logistics cost and improve logistics efficiency is now the most popular topic among modern FMCG retailers. Compared with western countries, FMCG logistics is relatively underdeveloped in China. Due to the national situation difference and poor social supporting facilities, we should respect the companies own character and shouldn’t copy the experiences from oversea companies directly.This thesis introduced FMCG retailer and fund out the logistics character. Then analysis each part of the logistics management from two perspectives:leading companies and BBG. Therefore pointed out the current problem and proposed the optimization plan.The first part of the thesis is the general summary. The second part introduced the concept of fast moving consumer goods and the economic theories of the FMCG retailer, then the character of FMCG logistics. The third part introduced the company of BBG, and analysis the current situation of its logistics and found out the bottle-neck. The fourth part studied the major international and domestic competitors and analysis the advantages and disadvantages, then found out the gap with BBG. The fifth part is the optimization proposal for BBG.
