Research On The Effect Of Intellectual Capital On Enterprise Performance

At the end of the twentieth Century, human society is experiencing significantchanges in economic structure, realized from industrial economy to knowledgeeconomy，On the intelligence and knowledge of the new economic era, the importanceof intellectual capital is increasingly highlighted. The action of Intellectual capital inthe enterprise has been gradually beyond traditional factor of production such ascapital, land and labor, become an important strategic resource of enterprises.Therefore, more and more organizations, institutions and enterprises began toresearch intellectual capital. Reasonable intellectual capital management system caneffectively promote the enterprise performance, and further quantify the correlationdegree between the intellectual capital and enterprise performance is useful forintellectual capital to create business value, it is the basis of improving enterpriseperformance. Therefore, the article through the empirical analysis method to furtherstudies intellectual capital how to affect enterprise performance, in order to providebetter suggestions in the intellectual capital management for listing corporation ofmanufacturing industry.This paper adopts the combination of empirical and normative research method,taking four hundred and sixty-six listing corporation of manufacturing industry whichsatisfy the conditions as sample, using intellectual capital coefficient method onintellectual capital elements on the effect of enterprise performance by regressionanalysis. Firstly, based on the study of domestic and foreign scholars, we limited therelated concepts of the intellectual capital and enterprise performance, focused on thesupport of the study of the three theories, namely Resource-based view of firm theory,Capability-based view of firm theory, Synergy theory. Then from the theory ofintellectual capital elements impact on corporate performance, put forward theresearch hypothesis. About the enterprise performance evaluation, we use the methodof factor analysis principal component extraction to derive a reflect enterpriseintegrated performance evaluation index. Finally, using SPSS seventeen statisticalsoftware for data on the correlation analysis, we draw a conclusion. The empiricalresults showed that, human capital and structural capital and enterprise performancewas significantly positive correlation, and relationship capital on enterpriseperformance was negative correlation, intellectual potential increment coefficient and corporate performance is positive correlation but not significantly. Finally, accordingto the research results, this paper put forward the proposal of intellectual capitalmanagement.
