Land resources and human survival and development are closely linked. At present, China is in a stage of rapid economic development, industrialization and urbanization continues to accelerate and southeast coastal economically developed areas of land use types and structural evolution of the rapid evolution of the current round of the main features of land use is a large number of agricultural land and construction of non-agricultural land use rapid expansion. Forward-looking inadequate planning and non-rigorous result in some developed regions, towns and villages land80years since the last century, since it tends to fragmentation, the fragmentation of agricultural land severely restricted the distribution of the development process of agricultural modernization, construction, land fragmentation have resulted in excessive expansion of construction land, a large number of ineffective and inefficient use of land. The scale of concentration of land-use agglomeration, economic intensification of the town is characterized by large-scale land-use has become a modern towns and villages the main trends in land use.Land-use-driven research more concentrated on the regional macro-driven research, to collect many years of socio-economic data, analyze the data the mathematical relationship between the various elements reveals the land-use change and the correlation between the deposit. This study attempts to qualitative analysis of various aspects of the driving factors and the relationship between land scale use, combined with the traditional driving forces of land use research and GIS spatial analysis and landscape ecology to analyze relevant to explore the driving mechanism of land scale use.The paper based on the research literature to build a conceptual model of land scale use analysis of the villages and towns large-scale land-use-related drivers and in Taicang City, Jiangsu Province, for the empirical region of the empirical studies to verify the scale of land use in towns and villages driving factors related to the size of the village land-use-driven role, reached the following conclusions:paper analyzes the driving factors on the size of village land-use of the characterization of targets has obvious driving role, but the direction of the drive is more complicated. Water network density and road density in rural that affect large-scale land-use common factor. The concentration of population and labor to raise the degree of land for construction intensive, while filling the small piece of land for construction of concentration of agricultural land is to have a positive impact. Traffic conditions to improve or upgrade the land area advantage, an increase of land-use intensity, but in another direction to reduce the possibility of building land accumulation. The paper is divided into six parts, part I is the introduction to introduce the background of topics of significance to study the ideas and research methods. Part II is related to conceptual and theoretical basis, through the relevant theoretical basis for review and analysis of the concept of large-land scale use and town derived large-land scale use concept, and to draw its meaning and development stage. Part III is the driving force land scale use framework for theoretical analysis, building land scale use-driven analysis model to arrive at the basis of the system, driving forces and characterization of the constituent elements of indicators, qualitative and quantitative analysis. Part IV, The fourth chapter in Taicang city, characterized by land scale use of relevant indicators of change analysis, five pairs of aerial remote sensing analysis, and analysis of relevant indicators of change. Part V is the empirical study, based on land use-driven model method and the size of rural land use practices model selection, the literature in the analysis of various land-use driving mechanism based on the analysis of the various methods to select areas suitable for land scale use evidence-driven mechanism for analysis of the correlation model. The empirical evidence of regional studies to prove the theory section above, draw the size of rural land use-related driving factors driving force. Part VI is the conclusions and recommendations, summed up the article concluded, and strive to raise the scale of rural land use guiding significance to the relevant recommendations.
