Risk Research On IT Project Management

In China, high speed of informationization construction brings all kinds of enterprises efficiency and convenience. However, the investigation results show us that large IT projects rarely make success. What does a real success mean for a large IT project? In general, we treat good balance among time, cost and performance goal as the sign of success. There exists close correlation between these three factors and risk management. There are a lot of projects failed because of lack of special people to run risk management in the projects.In this thesis, the author is going to give some real cases which are from author’s work experience in many years to make deep understanding of risk management. So that project managers can get not only theoretical knowledge, but also more useful guide information. In this way, people will know which avoid strategy is better to some kind of risk, and how does it affect a project by some kind of risk, and so on. The goal of the author’s research is to introduce people how to manage risk in projects with her rich project experiences. The following content is focusing on projects in IT domain. The author gives out new solutions on failed projects in her previous work by analyzing the risk management process.
