In the time of knowledge economy, knowledge workers as the creators and usersof the science and the technology, their enthusiasm and creativity are the key ofsurvival, development and win the competitive power in this kind of knowledgeorganization Institute. This paper is based on knowledge organization, knowledgeemployee, theories of compensation management, taking the SIO Institute as anexample, through the methods of literature research, empirical analysis andcomparative research, analyzing the SIO Institute’s salary management situation,finding out the problem of existence. Under the guidance of the concept of the overallsalary management, according to the job demand characteristics of knowledge staff inthe SIO Institute, link up the compensation system with the strategic goals of the SIOInstitute. Through the job setting and assessment, integrate the chaos of two postsystems, which are non-profit science and technology reform system of the originalsystem of the SIO Research Institute and the Ministry of personnel position system.After the industry salary survey, with the total wages approved by State Council,redesign the standard of the salary, improve the competitiveness of the wages.Enriching the incentive means of the SIO Institute with the overall salary management,the SIO Institute of salary system is divided into external and internal salary(basicsalary+post skill salary+performance wage+welfare+special reward+intrinsiccompensation), increasing the weight of scientific research achievements in the salarydistribution, adjusting the proportion between the fixed compensation and variablepay, incenting knowledge employees in the SIO research institute comprehensively.Fully mobilize the enthusiasm, initiative and creativity of knowledge employees, finalimplementation to attract and retain talents, cultivation core competitiveness ofintelligence creation, promotion the research undertaking of the SIO Institutescientific development. This paper has certain reference significances to the same typeof knowledge organization.
