Paul Grace who is the chairman of PMI, said:"today, everything is the project, and all will become the project." With the rapidly economic development, the application of the project management in our country is expanding continually, and the demand of project managers’ quantity and quality is increasing. The Project manager is the key to companies. Therefore, the project manager is one of gold careers in21st century.This paper is major to find out the latest relevant research and some shortcomings in this field by the research methods of literature, comparative, qualitative and quantitative. Compared with the foreign training of project managers, we can draw that the advantages of Europe and America are ability and experience on project. In American companies, there is a beautiful employment of strategy and the training mode of Britain is worth of studying and using for reference in our country. However, there are many problems and shortcomings in our country’s project managers. These can be divided into four parts:firstly, with the rapidly development of the economy and the application range of project management, the requirements of project managers are increasing, but there are a lot of gap in this field. Secondly, the quality of the project managers in China is not very high, and lots of managers are lack of experience of project management. Thirdly, although many companies in China are aware of the importance of the project managers and pay more attention to the training and selection, but there are still many defects in the way of selection and training. The last, there are many shortcomings in the process of employment. In order to solve these problems and improve the competitiveness of the enterprises in our country and perfect our project manager of the training system, make it to adapt to the new situation of the needs to have the important meaning. Thereby, it is meaningful to improve the training system of project managers.Compared with America and Europe, the shortages of project manager on training and employment in China are more clearly. In order to improve these problems in China, I give some recommendations as follows:firstly, project managers should improve personal quality on aspects of values, knowledge, ability, experience and moral; secondly, Vocational education should be combined with formal schooling education; thirdly, we should build a diversified employment’s system to improve the project manager’s selection, promotion as well as the reward and remuneration and moreover, personal training should be put in effect by integrating "bringing in" and "going global" strategies. Today, more and more well educated managers are required by the market in China. The main aim of this paper is hope to contribute little the project manager training and build a theory in this filed for Chinese by using the experience of American and Europe for reference.
