Cloud services are emerging that provide users with the computing, storage and otherservices via the Internet. Recent years, the proliferation of mobile devices has created thedemand for services that allow users to access personal data and content from any device atany time. The demand for cloud service will grow exponentially as user adoption increasesand the volume of mobile content users generate cumulatively grows.For this case analysis, it based on the term "iCloud", which provided by Apple Inc.The research is focused on the marketing tactics and strategies analysis of apple iCloud inthe business market environment. iCloud mainly provides storage service for mobile andlaptop users. It allows users to store data such as music, photos, contacts, and calendars onremote computer servers for synchronize to multiple devices such as iOS based devices,iPhone, iPad, and personal computers.Firstly, the article started with the theory of cloud computing, history of itsdevelopment, and real-world applications analysis.Secondly, it is the introduction of the situation of iCloud service, including Apple’sbackground, the development of iCloud service, iCloud service in business, industry majorcompetitors, and its analysis of issues.Thirdly, with the combination of marketing tactics and strategic managementknowledge, it presents the trend of Apple’s strategies, competitive advantage of iCloud,marketing positioning, and brand marketing. The solution uses the SWOT andTwo-Dimension analysis model.Fourthly, it presents the implement of marketing tactics and strategies solution withthe issues, including brand architecture, engineering team, renewable energy, competitionchallenges, integration with business, and security/privacy risks.Finally, it presents the conclusions, references, and recommendations of this case. This article is mainly based on marketing and strategic management theory. Itdescribes Apple’s new service and how it releases to the market from corporate strategy,competitive advantage, market positioning of products and services, and brand strategy.Through the analysis of the case, it will be a clear understanding of Apple’s cloudservices, marketing strategy, and its future strategic objectives. And it has certainreferences, and the guiding line for future development of other companies in the sameindustry.
