Study On The Development Of Ceramic Industry Cluster In Zibo Which Based On Spin-off

Spin-off was described as creative destruction by Schumpeter in1934, and sincethen more and more scholars have begun to pay close attention to this new businesseconomic phenomenon. Spin-off is a new form of economic entity, which come fromthe parent organization. The new economic entity is associated with the parentorganization, but it often has unique properties. Agarwal and many other scholarsbelieve that, in the field of Entrepreneurship Research, Spin-off is a special kind ofenterprise to enter the market. The embedded relationships between the parentorganization and the spin off are the basic characteristics of this entrepreneurialactivities. In recent years, Spin-off in western countries have being developed rapidly,which have been the important driving force of the innovative scientific, technologicalachievements, social and economic development.As the economic restructuring and industrial upgrading in china, Spin-off haveemerged in the high-tech industries (such as HUAWEI, etc.) and the traditionalindustries (such as YILI, etc.). This trend is growing rapidly. Either from the point ofview that system identification with Chinese characteristics of Spin-off, or theperspective that the effective use of Spin-off on the value effect of industrial clusterdevelopment, we all have the necessity to strengthen the theoretical basis of Spin-offresearch work. On the other hand, we also need to analyze the factors which Spin-offinfluence China’s industrial clusters, therefore we can compensate for the lack ofappropriate literature and case studies achievements.Therefore, this research takes Zibo ceramic industry cluster as the study case,and utilizes the Grounded Theory methods which rooted in the real date and emphasison continuing interaction between data collection and research analysis. Based on theexisting research achievements, this study analyzes the influence factors of Ziboceramic industry cluster from the Spin-off point. Specifically, this paper includes sixaspects：The first part is the introduction. The topic of this paper is carried out from the Spin-off which are frequent. And then, it describes the background, values, researchcontents, framework, methods and innovation points of this study.The second part is a literature review. First, this paper combs the Spin-off theoryfrom three dimensions on meaning and types, motivation and performance, processand stage. Then, it combs the Industry Cluster theory from nature, evolution anddevelopment factors.The third part describes the spillover effects of Spin-off which towards industrycluster. It includes the formation of industry cluster, the cluster network environment,as well as the sustainable development of industry cluster which Spin-off influences.Among them, the cluster network environment includes the maternal and newenterprises, knowledge transfer and technological innovation, and human resources.The fourth part is the study design. This paper uses some methods such as fieldsurveys, in-depth interviews, case studies collects and collates data from Zibo ceramicindustry cluster, and provides a brief introduction to the Grounded Theory method.The fifth part is the Grounded Theory analysis. From the point of Spin-off, thispaper eventually comes to the motivating factors and limiting factors of the casecluster development through the Grounded Theory. Among them, the motivatingfactors includes the Spin-off basis, location advantages, and the initial combination ofindustry, science and research. The limiting factors includes entrepreneurialorientation, industrial structure and legitimacy.The sixth part put forward some kinds of suggestion based on the specific impactfactors.
