Certified Public Accountant Professional Research Direction Training Mode Reform

When China’s economics has been rapidly developing these years, the CertifiedPublic Accountant industry is also developing fast and the market needs more and moreprofessional certified public accountants. While in China, there are not enough certifiedpublic accountants and their knowledge structure may not be strong enough to meet marketdemand. In this situation, the direction to certified public accountants is getting more andmore concern for it can provide fresh blood to the industry. During the more than twentyyears since this major was established, the research on its situation and training mode hasbeen insufficient. We are wondering: is there a consistent cultivation objective betweendifferent collages? What the advantages and weaknesses in the training content andtraining method? Whether the students are qualified in this industry? These questions needto be studied so as to promote advantages, improve weaknesses, motivate industrydeveloping and provide more and more professional people to the industry.This paper tries to study about professional competence from industry requirementand bring out a system of certified public accountants training. This paper will study thecurrent situation of the direction to certified public accountants, including cultivationobjective, training content, training method. Then, it will try to find problems and raisereform suggestion to improve cultivation quality and provide the theory basis forestablishing backup talents base. The research is based on normative research anddescriptive statistics, so the arguments are reliable, sufficiently supported and convincing.The data is collected by questionnaire. The respondents are graduates (class of2007),Undergraduates (class of2008-2011). The data is true and faithful and the case study isreliable.This paper gives several reform suggestions for the direction to certified publicaccountants training, including core curriculum optimization, wider exercitation platform,professor quality improvement, training opportunities for professor, more professionalcompetitions and venture contest, more case study.
