Based On The Theory And Method Of Carbon Chain "low-carbon Development Countermeasures Study China's Oil Industry

The climate problem of global warming,caused by greennhouse gas emission,initiates low carbon reform all over the world. China also takes low carbon transition as a strategy. The government has made the commitment of reducing its carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP by40%to45%from2005levels,and set accurate quantification of target in the12th Five-year Plan, then developed guidance in details like " The Greenhouse Gas Emission Controlling Program During the12th Five-year Plan". China practically bears the responsibility of coping with climate change.Chinese oil industry is under great pressure by the integral low carbon transition of the economy and society. Oil industry is the producer and supplier of the fossil fuel petroleum and its relevant products, and it is high-energy-consuming and high-emissions, which contradicts Low-carbon Economy in nature, so, the strict emissions constraints have many adverse effects on the development of oil industry. As the strategic fundamental industry, it is significantly important for national economy that Chinese oil industry maintains stable develpment.Therefore, the study object of this thesis is the low-carbon development of Chinese oil industry. It uses the "Carbon Chain" concept and method to analyse carbon emission situation of Chinese oil industry, then explore the better way for Chinese oil industry low-carbon development. Firstly, the thesis discusses about the correlation theorys like the industry, the industry chain and the industry development. On the basis of theory discussion, this thesis creates the "Carbon Chain" concept and undertakes initial exploration about its connotation. Secondly, the thesis attempts to create "Carbon Chain" analysis method, and empirically research Chinese oil industry "Carbon Chain" with this new method.The empirical analysis results show that Chinese oil industry emits a lot of carbon dioxide every year, and the emission growth rate is rapid, especially petroleum refining and chemical is the most serious part. According to the empirical study results, this thesis puts forward a series of countermeasures such as the overseas layout of petroleum refining and chemical, the multilateral expansion of overseas oil and gas resources, the restraint for total energy consumption, the improvement of energy efficiency, the perfection of low carbon management and the innovation of low carbon technology.
