It is the inevitable choice that the energy structure with coal is optimized and the level of clean coal utilization raised.Coal chemical industry is an important way in coal clean utilization of coal chemical industry will be able to reduce carbon emissions and how to realize its goal of reducing carbon emissions is a major concern,this dissertation deeply studies the carbon footprint measurement methods and the control mechanisms to Coal Chemical Industry Chain based on the viewpoints of system science and green SCM with theoretical knowledges of Logistics Projects Management, Economics,Environmental Ecolggy, Operational Research and the research methods provided by IPCC and PAS2050,and so on. The paper puts forward the model of low-carbon management in coal chemical industry chain by management solutions in China, based on the research of coal chemical industry chain network structure optimization of the new model.First of all, the paper puts forward the necessity and urgency of energy conservation and emissions reduction after analyzing the status quo of the current global climate and environment worsening, and discussing the energy structure and consumption patterns in the problems of carbon emissions in China. It shows that coal is still the main energy consumption at the present stage in C hina through sorting results in possession of a large number of data. The paper designs survey questionnaire, consulting management involving coal chemical enterprises, and the opinions of the relevant scholars in order to master the facing bottleneck problems from the current coal supply chain and coal chemical industry chain in the development of domestic and international.Then, the paper extracts the key factors affecting the development of coal chemical industry chain by low carbon in C hina, according to the results of the questionnaire data analysis by using of principal component analysis(PCA) for factor analysis.Among them, the demand of chemical products and the coal consumption are rising sharply along with our country energy structure transformation and market development trends, but the intensity of the carbon footprint of coal chemical industry chain is also increased.The paper predicts the change of the intensity of the carbon footprint in energy consumption and its correlation with the development of coal chemical industry chain by constructing prediction model for analyzing the proportion of carbon footprint in energy consumption to the ecological footprint.In the second place, based on the calculation methods and carbon footprint measurement models to the quantitative research of the emission factors of the subsystems of the coal chemical industry.The paper studies the applies to the technology and management mechanisms by using the mathematical models such as Ba Piyskiy, DEA and Double Dividend with carbon tax,carbon trading and carbon labels for controlling the carbon footprint from the low-carbon manufacturing enterprises and consumption on the coal chemical industry based on ELCA- LCSA in C hina.At last,the thesis studies the optimization model of the network structure of new coal chemical industry chain by the analysis and scheme of the related technical index variables and low carbon costs taken into the internalization of enterprise management in order to minimize GHG emissions in the coal chemical industry chain to alleviate the increasing situation of regional carbon footprint intensity in C hina.Therefore,the thesis is not only providing new ideas for the sustainable development of coal chemical industry in China,but also it is giving the theory help for formulating and implementing the low-carbon economic development policy on the energy based coal through the quantitative research in the measurement methods and the controlling mechanisms for the carbon footprint from the current core Coal C hemical Industry C hain,such as coal gasification-CH3 OH,coal gasification-SNG-IGCC and coal liquefaction- indirect liquefaction.Specific research contents of this dissertation are as follows:Chapter 1: Introduction. Analyzing of the current deterioration to global climate and environment caused by extensive using of carbon-based energy, especially one of the main coal consumption speed of change in the intensity of carbon footprint in the coal chemical industry chain, the governments feel the urgency and necessity of energy saving and emission reduction.Thus, this paper gives the carbon footprint of quantitative research methods of measurement, assessment through scientific identify the source of greenhouse gas emissions on coal chemical industry chain;the second is to explore the control mechanism of management and technology of carbon footprint on the coal chemical industry chain, establishing or perfecting the mechanisms such as carbon market, carbon trading, carbon labels in China under the low-carbon economy aimed at the current global background from the practice to achieve operability for related industry of our country’s low carbon management mode.After reading a large number of domestic and foreign related research literatures, the paper absorbs the existing part of the professional theory and research ideas.This part attempts to make brief introduction to the research back ground, the main problem going to solve, the purpose and significance of this research,literature review,research methods and ideas, and to lay the foundation for further research work.Chapter 2: The theoretical research on the carbon footprint and the low-carbon development to coal chemical industry chain.This part attempts to comb the factors affecting the sustainable development of coal chemical industry, collecting and sorting out the relevant data from the questionnairs to find out the key factors by the Principal Component Analysis(PCA),such as:chemical technology,industrial policy and environmental bearing capacity.Among them, the environmental capacity is the harm of increasing pollution with the increment of the strength of carbon footprint from the coal chemical industry. Therefore,the part futher analyzes the meaning of carbon footprint and its proportion in the ecological footprint by establishing the prediction model of carbon footprint from the energy consumption based on Biological Capacity Constitute Index(BCCI).With the research,it can point out that the design principle of low-carbon development to be further analysis the theory of measuring the carbon footprint from the coal chemical industry chain after the explicit correlation between carbon footprint and the low-carbon development of coal chemical industry chain.Chapter 3: Analysis of the carbon pulse and the emission system of the core coal chemical industry chain based on ELC A-LCSA.This part attempts to point out the mechanism of the carbon pulse of the core coal chemical industry chain by the quantitative analysis and evaluation of the ―negative‖ influence on climate and environment from energy products during all life cycle through the quantitative model based on the theories of ELCA,LCSA and Exergy in the equilibrium state of material and energy flow. At the same time,this part identifies the GHG emission source from the subsystems:coal production,coal logistics,coal chemical production and consumption on the basis of analysis of C element flow in the core industry chains based on the different typies coal, such as coal gasification-CH3 OH,coal gasification-SNG-IGCC,coal liquefaction indirect- liquefaction,ect.Chapter 4:Research of the measurement methods of carbon footprint in coal chemical industry chain.The part attempts to point out the calculation formulas for GHG emission factors,unit energy consumption of all kinds of energy,connersion rate,carbon oxidation rate by using PAS2050:2008, ISO14064, GHG Protocol and the IPCC and other international guidance document research methods based on the explicit the GHG emission source in each subsystems.On the other hand,the part predicts the production capacity of the raw coal production in the future in C hina for providing the basis for carbon footprint measurement methods research by building annual output prediction model. With these calculation formulas,the thesis studies on the measurement models for carbon footprint from the subsystems such as:coal production,coal logistics,coal chemical production and consumption,and also validating the practical application by the example simulation.Chapter 5: Research of the controlling mechanisms for carbon footprint in coal chemical industry chain. This part attempts to study on the controlling mechanisms from two aspects:the technology and management research after pointing out the measurement methods for carbon footprint from each subsystem of the core coal chemical industry chain. Firstly,the dissertation studies on the technology mechanisms for controlling carbon footprint by using the ―Karman vortex street‖principle,the DEA model,CCS tools,and so on.After that,the part studies on the management mechanisms through double dividend model,Piguo Tax theory and analyzing the influence on the coal chemical industry enterprises and the downstream consumers by carbon tax,carbon trading and clean development mechanism(CDM).At the same time,this part sets up the mechanism for the low-carbon consumption of coal chemical products by carbon labels,and validating the practical application by the example simulation of controlling mechanisms for carbon footprint from coal chemical industry chain.Chapter 6: Studying on the network structure of the coal chemical industry chain based on carbon footprint.This part attempts to study on the optimization methods of coal chemical industry chain management for the costs from carbon capture,carbon trading,and so on,as the constraint conditions of related enterprises‘producting or consumption.For this,the thesis builds the new optimization model for the network structure of the coal chemical industry chain by using advanced operational research theory.On the other hand,this part points out the new mode of the sustainable development to the regional resources city by the examp le simulation in the circumstance of optimization and reorganization in low-carbon economy mode for coal chemical industry clusters.Chapter 7: Conclusions and outlook. The charpter puts forward on the key issues to be resolved with the main innovation points and the study results. At the same time, it sums up the research objective existence deficiency based on the quantitative and qualitative research to be further research work.
