The thesis adhesive to increasingly LCC sourcing project development trends undereconomic globalization between domestic and international division, study with projectquality model-Integrated Project Quality Plan (hereinafter called IQP) from company D,combined with my practical working experiences on VHP engine connecting rod project,complete the quantitative assessment for setting project targets, analyze and find thedeficiencies of IQP module and find an optimized project quality management model toenhance the success rate of project development and bring the true sense of project cost&quality risk reduction, enhance products competitiveness in the market.The thesis carried out through theoretical discussion and case studies. It introducesthe background&significance of the research, and the current mainstream projectquality management theories; analyzes the advantages of company D with SWOT methodto conduct an objective result for project development decisions; introduces and analyzesIQP model under the whole life cycle of VHP engine connecting rod project on itsvaluable experiences and dis-advantages, gives target recommendations to improve theexisting IQP model; the project targets were calculated and analyzed for quantitativeassessment on project performance and summarized the research at the end of this thesis.First, discusses and introduces the background, significances and contents of theresearch. Research on the mainstream project quality management theories and deep intothe project management processes and documentation, project quality plan, qualityassurance and quality control, project quality outputs and project cost-effective analysis.Second, analyzes the advantages of company D with SWOT method to conduct anobjective result for project development decisions.Third, conduct in-depth research on IQP model under the whole life cycle of VHPengine connecting rod project on its good experiences and dis-advantages, coveringsupplier selection, project quality plan, project workflow, project quality control plan and process failure mode analysis (P-FEMA), project quality outputs, cost effectivenessanalysis and etc., analyze and find its dis-advantages for IQP.Finally, summarizes the work study and research, implements quantitative assessment onproject performance to judge whether the desired goals is achieved or not, givesimprovement suggestions to improve the current IQP model, and indicates the follow-upwork of this theory.The data used in this thesis comes from practice that is widely used, to quantifyproject performance appraisal is also good characteristics. The research results can beconsidered as reference for the project quality management of similar projects.
