Developing the higher vocational education vigorously is the basic requirementsfor carrying out the Strategy of Developing the Nation Through Science andEducation and the Strategy of Strengthening the Nation Through Human ResourceDevelopment. The talents cultivated by higher vocational colleges play an importantrole in China’s civil aviation service industry. With the rapid development of ournation’s economy, China’s civil aviation industry ushered in the great developmentopportunity. Under the background of the sharply increasing demand of civil aviationpersonnel, it is important to analyze and establish an in-flight service personnelcultivation mode with its own characteristics to both promote the educational reformof cultivating professional talents and enable the graduates to perfectly fit in with theiremployment at civil aviation enterprises.Through introducing the present developing status of our nation’s civil aviationin-flight service personnel cultivation, this paper analyzes the existing problems andtheir causes in Tianjin Transportation Vocational College and then provides thein-flight service personnel cultivation mode with its own design by SWOT analysis.Finally, in order to improve the employment competitiveness of students, this paperputs forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions on the construction ofteachers, curriculum system, practice and internship and other aspects byconcentrating on how to implement the new mode of personnel cultivation.The innovation of this paper is analyzing the personnel training mode by usingthe “SWOT" analysis of the strategic management for reference. Through thecomparison with other civil aviation colleges, opportunities, threats, strengths andweaknesses are identified, and the development of the college’s in-flight service majoris strategically positioned. Then, based on these analyses, this paper puts forward the"two three four two" mode which better fits for the academic characteristics of thecollege. As we can see through this article, to keep the nationally advanced level ofthe development of this major we must rely on reform, construct the new talentcultivation mode and exert our own advantages. Only in this way can we cultivatequalified skilled personnel meeting the needs of enterprises.
