With the rapid development of information technology, computers have beenwidely used in daily management of many enterprises, where managementinformation systems have become an indispensable tool. Specifically for banks, thereare abunda nt bus iness deals with the increment of foreign incomes and thedevelopment of international settling accounts, from which it is shown thatinternational payments reporting is a both time and labor consuming job. However,the State Administration of Excha nge Control requires that the exchanging resultsshould be reported accurately and timely. Based on the above-mentioned analysis, it isconcluded that the establishment of an efficient international payments reportingsystem is a necessity to realize the informatization and automation of internationalpayments business, which will, to a great extent, help facilitate the operators’ manualoperation process.In this thesis, the necessity for developing an international payments reportingsystem is ana lyzed by some studies on the state of the art of the current developingstatus of management information systems bo th at home and abroad. In add ition, thefeasibility of the system de velop ment is deeply analyzed, by considering such aspectsof society, economics, technology, and so forth. On the basis of the managementinformation system-related theory, the B/S structure, and according to the generalflow for system exploitation, the design objective, system demands, and generaldesign plan for the international payments reporting system are discussed in details;the explicit system design a nd code implementation are also provided.The developed international payments reporting system presents such merits asuser-friendly interface, operational convenience, and multi-user coordination, etc,which well satisfies the working demands for international payments business. At last,the thesis ends with some concluding remarks and prospects.
