Power sector has been a main carbon emission source in national economyfor a long time, so low-carbon operation of power system is significant toachieve the goal of greenhouse gas emission reduction. By achieve optimalresource allocation using market force and promoting power enterprise todevelop low carbon management and transformation, greening tradingmechanism of power system, represented by carbon emission trading andgreen power certificate trading, has caused wide concern. In this dissertation,carbon emission trading was studied as main subject. Analysis on powersystem carbon emission characters, carbon emission permit allocation,carbon emission trading model and optimal operation considering tradingeconomic efficiency have been made. Moreover, suggestions on the fusionof carbon emission trading and green power certificate trading weresubmitted.Firstly, the carbon emission characters of power system was analyzed byconsidering the unit‘s operating principle, and a more positive assessmentmethod on unit carbon emission character was available. By studying theemission permit allocation methods basing energy generated and generationtype, an new allocation method basing equal carbon emission increment ratewas presented. Then the trading model based on utility optimization andtrading volume optimization were built, and the model was solved by a PSOmethod. The maximum generation of system before and after trading wascompared. At last, the economic efficiency of trading was studied, and thesystem optimal operation model considering trading economic efficiencywas presented, then the influence on unit economic efficiency from different auction rate was analyzed. Examples have been presented to verify andexplain the research which has been made in each sector.
