With the globalization of the world economy and increasingly fiercecompetition of the market, Manufacturing companies are constantlyfinding new ways to enhance the competitiveness of the enterprises.Supply chain integration has been considered as a tool to improveenterprise performance and competitiveness by more and more managers.In fact, supply chain integration will not only do benefit to thecompetitiveness of macro supply chain, but also help to improvecompanies’ own performance.As the representative of manufacturing industry, Auto industrygenerated6.13%of the GDP in2010and Auto Parts hold more than50%of the value of whole Auto industry. Because of the maturity of supplychain management in Auto Parts industry, the variety of industries relatedto Auto Parts industry, Auto Parts industry is very worthwhile forresearchers to study. However studies related to Chinese Auto Partsindustry supply chain integration and the impacts on the enterpriseperformance are very rare.By browsing current papers, we found that there are argumentsamong researchers about whether there is relationship between supplychain integration and enterprise performance and the studies are limited inthe impact of level of supply chain integration on the performance. Thedefinition of supply chain integration has not been given and supply chainperformance and the broad of supply chain integration have not beenconsidered in either. Although the two factors mentioned above have beenthought highly of by more and more mangers in practice, there are no studies currently reveal the deep relationship among the level of supplychain integration, the broad of supply chain, supply chain performance andenterprise performance. According to the characteristics of the Auto Partsindustry, we distinguish the definition of micro supply chain from macroone, define supply chain integration and have a very deep analysis of therelationship between two factors.Based on the research significance and the opportunity to contact withthe supply chain experts in SAIC Group, we put emphasis on the impact ofsupply chain integration on Auto Parts enterprise performance. ThroughQuestionnaire, interview with experts and structural equation modeling(SEM), we give out suitable hypothesis, study the relationship amongfour factors and analyze results of the study to offer suggestions tomanagers.In this paper, we analyze the shortage of current studies by browsingrelated papers. We also analyze the current situation and characteristics,definition, content, subjects, methods, classification and influence factorsof supply chain integration by conducting deeply research of Auto Partssupply chain integration. By telling principles of the impact of supplychain integration on enterprise performance, we build our research modeland give out hypnosis. After that, we choose200Auto Parts companies andstudy the impact of supply chain integration on these companiesperformance by using SEM. Finally, we analyze the result of the study andgive suggestions to the managers in Auto Parts companies.The result of the study shows that the level of supply chain integrationhas significant impact on both supply chain performance and enterpriseperformance and the broad of supply chain will have impact on supplychain performance and enterprise performance only through the level ofsupply chain. Based on the path coefficient of measured indicators, wegive companies guidance and suggestion on how to do in practice.
