The Study Of Quality System Establishment In Aviation Manufacturing Industry

The Chinese aviation industry in recent years has achieved rapid development,along with the start of Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) andC919jumbo jets and ARJ21regional aircraft project, the aviation industry of Chinahas attracted more attention. However, we simply have to admit that byinternational aerospace manufactures, China’s aviation industry has less-timeaccumulation. The world’s aviation industry is still dominated by Boeing, Airbus, andcombines with some of regional aircraft facilities, like Bombardier, EMBRAER,Fairchild, Dassault Aerospace. China’s aviation manufacturing enterprises still have along way to go. Base on the Airworthiness Certification Department statistics ofCAAC, there are only1,010civil aircrafts serving in China now, while the U.S. hasmore than220,000aircrafts. We can see the big gap between China aviation industryand the top in the world. Some new aerospace manufactures may have less knowhowon the particularity of this industry.The Sinelson aerospace company, which is the author serving now, is a famousBelgium company, main activity is based on the design, production and assembly ofaircraft structures as well as associated systems, including the aircraft wings, flaps,leading edge slats, doors, etc., he is the unique supplier for Airbus A320slats. TheChinese assembly site was created at2011-Nov, experienced the whole preparation ofquality system and airworthiness production organization approval. This thesis beginswith the introduction of airworthiness authorities and AS9100quality system,specifically addressed both the links and differences between aviation airworthinessrequirements and the AS9100quality system. Besides that, a brief description of theelements of the aviation quality system has been introduced. And then, made analysison the application of the quality system in Sinelson company. Finally, as the output ofquality system build up, an overview and demonstration on the manufacturing licenseof the European Aviation Safety Agency audit are recorded at the end of chapter III.The latter part of the thesis also discusses on how to establish, promote the properorganization cultures in Sinelson. In addition, gives the suggestions on the furthersteps of Sinelson quality system. By trying to analysis the quality elements completely and deeply, hope this papercan be a useful reference for others Chinese aerospace manufactures.
