| This paper provides a comprehensive description of the Chinese enterprise sdirect investment in Vietnam since Vietnam carried out economic reform, the DoiMoi policy. Vietnam market with great potential and high growth is the destination ofFDI inflow worldwide and many Chinese enterprises have seen the businessopportunity here. However, the scale and stock of Chinese enterprises directinvestment in Vietnam are still of limited significance. A comprehensive study on thissubject will provide an answer for this matter.The paper focuses on studying the motivation, characteristics, and pattern ofChinese enterprises direct investment in Vietnam, as well as giving Chineseenterprises a clearer view of the investment environment in Vietnam. Furthermore,the impact of China s FDI on the country and advantages of Chinese enterprises overthose from other countries are also included. For a more detailed description, the caseof New Hope Group investing in animal feed industry in Vietnam will provide otherChinese enterprises with precious lessons on how to deal with this market and ensurelong term development in Vietnam as well as build the trust of Vietnameseconsumers.Lastly, the paper suggests several recommendation for Chinese enterprises whenthey choose Vietnam as the destination for their investment on critical points that theyshould focus on in order to be successful. In addition, there are also recommendationfor Vietnamese government on appropriate measures to adopt to attract Chinese FDIinto Vietnam while maintaining sustainable development. |
