The Idea Of The Modes And The Strategies Of Transition Of Resource-based City

Along with the non-renewable natural resource exhausting and deterioration ofecological environment, the transformation of resources city has been more and moreattention around the world. Succeed or not to the transformation of resources city is not onlyrelated to the development of the city in the future, but also related to the development of acountry and all over the word. As a developing country, our country has continued economicoperation mode of powerrich but low output for a long time, due to the needs of the rapiddevelopment of economy. Industry development excessively depends on investment andcompetitive price, and this caused the excessive consumption of resources and energy. Soreduce the energy consumption of economic development, improve our own level in industrychain and strengthen construction of competitive industries are the major tasks of the nationaldevelopment and reform in the future. Hebei province is located in the eastern coastal area,but it development level is far lower than the domestic developed coastal provinces. Hebeiprovince planed coastal planning in2011, this planning layed the foundation for developedcoastal provinces of Hebei province. Hebei will seize this opportunity to upgrade industrystructure and develop strategic new industries. Tangshan is the front of economicdevelopment and opening up of Hebei province, so working out the modes and strategyies oftransformation of Tangshan will affect the development of Tangshan and even Hebei provincedeeply.This paper combines the knowledge of economics and sociology with the theory of citydevelopment to plan carefully and comprehensively the transformation road of Tangshan, inorder to reach the goal of successful transformation of Tangshan. Firstly, we analysed researchstatus about resources city and resources area at home and abroad, and expounded the mainemphasis. Secondly, we enumerated transformation examples about resources city andresources area at home and abroad. The author taken qualitative and quantitative methods toanalyse the development of economy, society and other aspects about Tangshan area based onthe theoretical and empirical research at home and abroad. The content including developmentstatus of resources city of Tangshan, the problems of development of resources city ofTangshan and the necessity of the transformation of Tangshan. The fourth chapter analysed strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats of transformation of resources city of Tangshanused the SWOT analysis mode. The fifth chapter formulated four city transformation goalsand five city transformation modes. The goals are emerging tourist city, harbor city opening tothe world, ecological and livable city, new industrial city. Transformation modes aregovernment-dominant mode, market dominant mode, alternative industries dominant mode,urbanity transformation mode, urban spatial structure transformation mode. The authorsconstructed relationship chart of transformation goals, transformation modes andtransformation strategies. And the author put forward transformation strategies of resourcescity of Tangshan based on the relationship chart.
