Research On The Supplier Relationship Management Process Improvement Of A Train Manufacturing Company

China mainlandbegan a massive railroading with an infrastructure investment of over330billionRMB, which is increased150billion and more than80%compared year-on-year. Therapid development of China mainland Railway Industry has increase the manufacturetechnology level of railway in Plant environment, equipment and quality. OverseasCorporations have seen this big development and established continuously theirrailway foundation manufacturing in China, and the assembling adjustment will beconducted in employer’s location. This kind of operating way has a high requirementin supplier chain of Seamless connection. Massive raw material and componentsdelivered to the production location around world, and the semi-finished product willbe sent to employer’s location after manufacturing. Finally the assembling, adjusting,operating launching and maintenance will be completed according to customer orderin employer’s location. The railway industry is going to be like this,A company is a branch of Downer group for train manufacturing. A company isrunning train business all over the world. It’s the biggist train manufacturing companyin Australian. PPP project started in2008is an overseas producing project. Thisproject makes the train in China mainland roughly and transports it to AustraliaCardiff for final installation and testing. Then A company runs the train at Sydney.This paper analyzes four different processes of logistics of A company to find the issues of supply chain management.The logistics process analysis is including purchasing logistics analysis, factoryinternal logistics analysis, distribution logistics analysis, recycle and scrapinglogistics analysis. It’s shows that A company’s purchasing logistics and factoryinternal logistics has lots of issues. The supplier evaluation process and supplierrelationship management process have to be changed to resolve the issues. Thepackaged and mark must be changed by supplier to make the transport controllable.This paper also trys to improve the risk control for the supplier relationshipmanagement. A company’s supplier relationship management gets more and morebetter after these changes. Some issues of the logistics management exited for longtime are resoled by these changes.
