Listed Coal Enterprise Social Responsibility Evaluation Research In Our Country

As the mainstay of traditional energy industry, coal industry has always been the foundation of our national energy security. The situation that China is lack of oil and gas but rich in coal has determined coal to be the fundamental energy industry. Coal consumption has always occupied more than70%in the field of one-time energy production and consumption. Coal industry, as an upstream energy industry, is the crucial guarantee of national economic development by promoting development of all trades and professions. Meanwhile, its proportion in national income has kept ascending from3.11%in2005to5..42%in2010, making giant economic benefit.Although coal industry has contributed much to China’s economic development, as a very crucial fundamental energy industry, in the course of its manufacturing operations, series of problems have been uncovered, which made its comprehensive contribution to society doubtful. Those problems manifested primarily in series of social conflict resulted in lack of social responsibility, and those problems have made the coal industry’s social benefits less satisfying than its economic benefits. Specific performance is as follows:Firstly, the dispersion of coal resources and the complexity of the coal development’s subject have caused a waste of coal resources.Secondly, production safety issues still requires increased attention and remediation efforts.Thirdly, coal enterprises’ extensive development route led to environmental issues such as high consumption and heavy pollution.Fourthly, the phenomenon of illegal employment in the coal industry is very common, employees are denied of the basic rights protection.Our state has kept introducing coal industry development policies continuously and intensively. The social problems of coal industry cannot be ignored anymore. Industry policies and regulations promulgated for the coal industry in2011have reached to75items, which mainly aim at constraining the production safety and environmental protection of coal industry.In the context of people’s rising living standards, and that social responsibility of coal industry needs to be strengthened continuously, the special nature of high social costs of the coal industry has grasped much concern from domestic and oversea scholars who have put forward much propose on production safety improvement and environmental protection and agreed that the coal companies should bear special social responsibility besides that beard by ordinary enterprises.This thesis will refer to specific situation of coal industry’s social responsibility practice. First of all, it will divide coal industry’s social responsibility into economic responsibility, security responsibility, moral responsibility and legal liability. Secondly, set out from those detailed indications, according to the essence of the index, analyze the importance of the social performance in each types of index by using analytic hierarchy process, and score each item. Finally, construct analytical relations between specific index and enterprise mode, investigate the state of coal industry’s social duty performance from the perspective of industry organization. Take the context of the current situation that coal industry’s large scale of resource consolidation into consideration, inspect whether such measures will benefit the performance of social responsibilities besides that of economy.At last, this thesis will refer to the demonstration analysis of the recent responsibility realization of coal industry to come to the comprehensive situation of social responsibility realization of coal industry in different scales. In this point, readers will find the positive correlation between social responsibility of coal industry and enterprise scale. The social duty performance of large enterprises is much better than that of the smaller ones.
