Research On Social Responsibility Evaluation Index System Of Chinese Power Grid Enterprise

There are more facts and realities about companies pursuing their profits while hurting that of other society members resent years, which makes corporate social responsibility more and more important. It is well known now that companies should not just live for making their own profit. Companies should take more social responsibility as part of their basic duty.The State Grid was the first state-owned enterprise to public its report of corporate social responsibility, which attracts much social focus on its responsibility perform. It, establishing a social responsibility evaluation index system based on characteristics of Chinese power grid enterprises, makes the abstract concept of social responsibility concrete and guides power grid enterprise doing better on responsibility perform.Theories and achievements on CSR at home and abroad are studied, by reading a great amount of relevant documents. And theories, which are applicable to power grid enterprises, are found considering the characteristics of State Grid. We claim six main dimensions, namely government, customers, employees, partners, society, environment, as main stakeholders of power grid enterprises according to the stakeholder theory. We received hundreds of questionnaires from experts, employees and public. Then the proportion of the six main stakeholders and corresponding secondary index in the entire social responsibility system is calculated by using the analytic hierarchy process, thus a social responsibility evaluation system focusing on power grid enterprises is established. Finally the evaluation index system is applied to State Grid Ningbo Power Supply Company. We eventually get the social responsibility score of Ningbo Power Supply Company in 2013 by selecting its relevant data. The result verifies that the social responsibility evaluation index system of power grid enterprises we build has a certain value on evaluating power grid system.
