Research On The Construction Of Integrated Transportation System From The Perspective Of Efficiency

Integrated transportation system is a transportation system with advanced technology, reasonable network layout and transport structure, which make comprehensive use of various modes of transport such as railways, highways, waterways, aviation and pipeline in a certain region. Transportation plays a vital important supporting and safeguarding role in the process of economic and social development. Since the reform and opening up, the transportation construction practice has proved that the research and development of integrated transportation system is in line with China’s national conditions, and is also significant for China’s economic and social development in the long run.In the current era of taking economic construction as the center, transportation industry as a leading industry must comes first compared with other industry and walks ahead of time. under the conditions of the socialist market economy, how to make full use of the government’s macro-control effect and develop a modern integrated transportation system in order to achieve an effective integration and rational allocation of transportation resources to ensure the transportation needs of all levels of economy and society can be meet as much as possible is a major issue that must be urgent studied and resolved in the process of China’s reform and development. Then we could attain a various modes of transport with orderly competition, advantages complement and coordinated development to improve the overall efficiency level and competitiveness of the entire integrated transportation system, which could guarantee the sustained, stable and healthy development of our national economy as well as social harmony and progress.In this context, this article is trying to find a road of improving the overall level of China’s integrated transportation system from the perspective of efficiency. Firstly, The article start with the concept of the integrated transportation system, then make a thorough sorting out and summary about the theoretical study’s history and present situation of the integrated transportation system according to collate integrated transportation system home and abroad, and then give a comparative analysis of the development practice between our country and the major developed countries. Based on these analyses, this article establishes an evaluation index system of efficiency about integrated transportation system from three levels of institution, technology and operation. This evaluation index system make comprehensive use of Analytical Hierarchy Process and Fuzzy Evaluation method, and then take Wuhan’s integrated transportation system efficiency as an example to give a specific evaluation of its integrated transportation system efficiency. The result we can obtain is that Wuhan’s efficiency development of integrated transportation system is still at a relatively low level. In the end, the article give recommendations to improve our nation’s integrated transportation system efficiency level based on the above evaluation.
