With the retail chain has become more sophisticated, competition among enterprises isalso heats up, good profit model and business strategies are the best approach to win moremarket share, particularly in the economic transformation of the environment, to protectthe profitability of enterprises, ultimately to maintain long-term competitiveness of theenterprises. Therefore, the profit model as well as the retail business strategies in the newenvironment is becoming a theoretical circles, especially the focus of the attention of theretail business, the analysis of profit model and business strategy in regarding of retailchains industry around the corner. This thesis will first review the profit model of retailchains and theoretical research in recent years, based the review of the competitivesituation of the retail chain industry the development status of the retail chains issummarized. Secondly, based on the analysis of the profitability indicators of retail chains,the variety chain retail profit model is analyzed from different perspectives further, we finddepartment stores, chain supermarkets and professional supermarket-based industry bodymarket earnings in different ways, at the same time, multi-format associates, own brand,e-commerce, as well as the integration of the value chain business model has evolved tobecome the key weapon of the retail chain profit model. Thirdly, as the business strategy isto ensure the smooth realization of profit model, based on Porter’s five forces theory, thispaper approaches the Business strategy to improve the profitability of the retail chains,including enforcing the retail chains management, enforcing consumer strategy, innovativeservices and marketing, the development of logistics strategy and internationalizationstrategy and the strategy to improve the level of enterprise information technology, in orderto provide a reference of profit model for the entire retail chain industry. Finally, China’sforeign chain retailers-Chia Tai Group of Thailand’s CP Lotus, for example, based on theprofit model and business strategy analysis, extracting the reference of retail chainsindustry for China’s sustainable development of retail chains industry is significant. This thesis is divided into eight chapters: Chapter1is an introduction of thebackground and significance of this study; Chapter2summarizes the relevant theoreticalstudy of the retail profit model and operating strategy; Chapter3describes the status ofdevelopment and the competitive situation of retail chains and industry; fourth chapterdiscusses the chain of retail profit indicators, as well as a variety of point of view of achain of retail profit model; Chapter5is combined with the analysis of the Porter Model,and then proposed retail development of business strategy, so that providing the referenceof the domestic retail industry development; Chapter6is CP Lotus for example, analyze thevalidation on the CP Lotus profitability mode; Chapter7is the summary of the research forthis article; Chapter8is the conclusion.
