Bank is a backbone in the national economy, the bank staff as a social workplace is a kind of special crowd. Along with the social competition intensified, more and more banks try to use the talent evaluation combined with position requirements to get the appropriate talents.This paper use Cattell’s16pf personality tests and the software SPSS17.0to analysis the relationship of the personality trait and job performance., analysis how personality trait impact performance in different environment. Firstly, This paper analyzes the correlation between the bank clerk personality and job performance, then using multiple regression method to analyze the16kinds of personality and the four kinds of performance.The research results show that the factor of warmth have significant positive correlation with task performance, work dedication, adaptation performance, and overall performance. The factors of warmth, intelligence, stability, constancy and self-discipline have significant positive correlation with task performance. The factor of wise has significant positive correlation with interpersonal facilitation, the factor of independence have significant negative correlation with adaptation performance. Foreman’s secondary character of Introversion and extroversion has significant positive correlation with task performance.
