The researches at home and abroad focus on how the managers'character affects the performance of a company. But their studies have some limitations.I take the group of managers to be the object, and involve the personality character and the profession character in my study. I also analyze the connection between them on the base of four theories. Then the connection will be checked out though cases and empirical reach. At last I suggest that how to choose or make full use of managers and how to make managers'character fully exerted.This paper first talks about the production,rights and duties of the manager, then define what is the manager and emphasize its structure. Later I recount managers'character on both intension and extension. Managers'character will be divided into two aspects which called the personality character and the profession character. The detailed representation of these characters will also be discussed and be use as independent variable in empirical reach.Then on the base of The Principal-agent Theory,The Human Capital Theory,Basic Resource of The Corporation Theory and The Leading Particularity Theory, I analyze the how the influence between the managers'character and the performance of a company works. The Principal-agent tells us the special position of the manager and the important effect to the development of a company. The Human Capital Theory and Basic Resource of The Corporation Theory emphasize that the manager is the real source of a company's continual competitive superiority and point out human capital would produce profound significance to the company. The Leading Particularity Theory puts forward the magnitude of the managers'character to the company's development and tells us how it works. After analyzing I creatively point out three models and seven paths of the effect.One company call Beijing Double-crane Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd is chose by me in case analysis because of its information can be easily got on the website. So I analyze their managers'character. In empirical reach I pick the data from the listed company's annals, and the data would be directly used after riddling and process. Another part of data is received through the questionnaire, and the date should firstly get through the reliability test and the validity test, then genes will be picked up to do the relativity analysis.By empirical reach I conclude that the managers'abroad background,honor and the experience of being a teacher succeed in getting through significance test and have a forward impact to the company's performance. And the managers'acuteness,regarding personal relations,innovation and sedulity also succeed in getting through significance test and have a forward impact to the company's performance. Then I will explain this conclusion and pay more attention to the cause of the opposition of the conclusion and the hypothesis.In the last part of the paper three aspects of suggestions are proposed. Firstly I make clearly that how to choose a group of managers who are appropriate to the company to improve its performance. Secondly how to make full use managers is considered. Thirdly I list some suggestions about how make managers'character fully exerted through the"three models and seven paths".We try to innovate by this research as following:First of all, we could reach the all members of the manager instead of the general manager during the study because of its structure. And the composition of forces produced by the manager influences the company's performance, although the forces may have different strength and direction.Secondly, managers'character involve the personality character and the profession character and so on. And all this aspects are not isolated but effecting each other. The conclusion about weather the character could improve a company's performance might be easily gotten by study one aspect of the characters. But this conclusion is unilateral and result in wrong ways about how to choose,use and train the manager. So we must broaden its range of study as possible. And the characters not one single character force the company to advance or block its development or have no effect.Thirdly, how managers'characters affect the performance is the kernel of my study. So to make out the mechanism of action, I should not only be accomplished in Management, but also know Psychology and Organization Behavior. This research will have no meanings if the mechanism of action is not explained. And it is impossible to use in practice.
