Risk Management Study Of Freight Car Lease Business For ZB Company

Shaanxi private enterprise-HF Company has been invested and recombined by Xi’an ZB Company of Chinese BC Group in2010, so that ZB holds51%shares of HF and sends main staffs to manage HF developing railway freight cars lease business. Railway freight cars lease business is rare in domestic market whatever for operating lease or finance lease. This thesis analyses risk management of HF’s lease business stand in ZB’s place.This thesis analyses and estimates risks be likely to happen in actual lease business and proposes counterplan and suggestion combining risk manage knowledge for ZB Company with study idea of "material analysis——issues discover——issues research——solution submit" and with study methods of SWOT analysis method and CAMELS analysis method and with study motivation of developing ZB’s railway freight car lease business.The thesis has six chapters. Firstly, it begins with introduce the study background of lease and railway freight car lease business, study meaning and study method adopted. Secondly, it summaries relevant theories and study reviews of railway freight car lease business. Thirdly, it states railway freight car lease business risk management’s actuality. Then, it analyses and estimates ZB’s existing risks of freight car lease business with SWOT and CAMELS analysis methods and it proposes counterplan to avoid risk combining risk manage knowledge. Finally, it gives study conclusion and indicates shortage and study direction in future.The railway freight car lease market is still at the beginning stage, so there is little national law and Ministry of Railway’s policies as well as relevant theory and study in this field. This thesis based on ZB Company’s present railway freight car lease business condition, in the view of a lessor, takes first step to research how to regulate and improve ability of risk manage for railway freight car lease company and plays a strong guide role in actual operation.
