In recent years, the problems of the safety of China’s food happened frequently, itseriously endangered the health of the masses, and caused a lot of negative social effects.So,it is vital to put more effort on the supervision of food safety and establish a long-termregulatory mechanism.In all aspects of our traditional meat product supply chain, there are many reasons leadto the occurrence of the problems—lack of information sharing between quality andsafety,poor transmission and timeliness on information. Thus,enhancing the competitivestrength of our meat products supply chain is the key to solve the problem. In the field offood safety, The using of the Internet of Things is not only fully realized the initialaspirations that servicing the daily life of ordinary people by modern science andtechnology, but also played a role of technical support in the supervision of food safety, itsadvantages in the supply chain is increasing gradually highlighting. In view of this, thispaper tried to verify the content that the Internet of Things technology have the function ofpromotion on the competitive strength of meat products supply chain. By making acomparative analysis before and after of the application of the application content and theInternet of things, meat products supply chain overall competitiveness level and eachdimension competitiveness level change.First of all, for the problem and hidden danger existed in our traditional meat productssupply chain model, this paper presented a mode of supply chain based on meat productsof the Internet of Things, and discussed in detail about the application of all aspects in thetechnology of the Internet of Things in the supply chain.Secondly, by using the balanced scorecard and the idea of green supply chainmanagement, this paper established the evaluation index system of competitive strengthmeat products supply chain including five dimensions that financial, customers, internaloperations, learning innovation and green. With the help of analytic hierarchy process, wecan determined the index weights and make ues of fuzzy comprehensive evaluationmethod for determining and reviewing.Finally, this paper established the index system for empirical research.Through themethod of questionnaire investigation to evaluate the index, and the model was applied tothe selected enterprises. Comparing and analyzing the level change of the level change ofcompetitiveness, which the supply chain as a whole and the five dimensions, before and after of the application of the Internet of Things, this paper verified the conclusion that theInternet of Things technology for the competitiveness of the supply chain of meat productsplayed a promote role.
