The Research Of The Mutual Influence Between The Population In Shandong Province And County Economy Development

"The Country is at peace if the counties are at peace".These ideas advocated by ancientsages have a deep-seated influence in Chinese society. In the long development course ofChina, as the basic level government, counties play an important role in the consolidationregime, safeguard social stability and promoting region economy. According to related data,there were2,859counties in China in2007. They covered8,960,000square kilometers,accounting for about93%of the land area of China. The population of them was915,000,000,which occupied70.41%of the total population in China. The sixth national county economycompetitive ability evaluation report in2006shows that the total counties GDP reached8.81trillion yuan, which was about48.1%of the nation. It is not difficult to see that the countieseconomic situation is not proportional to their huge population. The undeveloped economy incounties will hinder the modernization of the whole country.The research of this article is the mutual influence between the population and economicdevelopment in Shandong province. First of all, through the study of the population theory,the article will analyze the characteristics of population, the changes of the population, andpopulation problems in Shandong province. Secondly, by studying the development theory ofthe region economy, the passage will analysis the county economic developmentcharacteristics, the development dilemma and existing problems. Finally, through the analysisof mutual influence of the population and economy development, the article would be able tooffer suggestions for the harmonious development between the population developmentstrategy and region economic development.From a more comprehensive perspective, the research will discuss the county economyproblems by analyzing the relation of population structure and regional economy. It couldprefect the research in region economy and stimulate the development of the county economytheory and practice. The related results would also promote the improvement of the practicaldemographic and enrich the theory of population and region economy.
