With the rapid development of our country’s national economy and power system reform in the "125" period, improving the management level of electric power supply equipments is effective safeguard of national energy strategy security and national economic lifeline, it is the important method to increase revenue of Grid Corporation and realize reforming and upgrading. Traditional management methods didn’t adapt to the current grid development and the synthesis evaluation in the power unit management associates closely with the existence and development of power enterprises in the future. Only through the scientific and reasonable comprehensive evaluation method, can effectively control and manage the electric power supply equipments, and may, according to the evaluation results provide some useful proposal.The article brings this approach of life cycle assets management which is a process during which the equipments grow from conceptual generation to outline design and then to manufacture until discarded in the end, and makes the synthesis evaluation during life cycle of the equipments. We set up evaluation index system of life cycle assets management in electric power supply equipments and a model based on rough sets and BP neural network. Rough sets can be used to select the right evaluation factors set without any preliminary expert knowledge. The advantages of this combination strategy are not only clean the noisy data and decrease the probability of over-fitting in trained neural networks, but also reduce the training data which save the training time and improve the efficiency.By the case analysis, the paper confirms that this new method has the characteristics of high precision, high speed and high suitability so on after comparing with the single BP neural network. It showed the practical value of the model in the research. At the same time, the method might find applications in more electric power supply equipments and provide an effective way for the safety production, scientific management and decision making of electrical enterprise.
