Along with China joining WTO, the market environment of foundry enterprises has varied tremendously. Chinese foundry industry will get more shares in global castings market. On the other hand, the enterprises in this industry will confront more competitive tension. Under such an environment, Slade Foundry Company has faced a new problem. The profit of export fell constantly in the near years, though the total sales still expanded. It is an important thing for the company to make a proper strategy to break away form the problem.The thesis consists of six chapters. The first one is the generality in which we have stated the survey and the problem of the company, and summarized the strategy management theory and marketing theory. In the second chapter, the company and its organizational structure were briefly introduced, and the operations of the company profile and product structure were analyzed, and the currently main overseas market situation of the company was introduction also. The third chapter analyses deficiencies in business management and foreign trade business of the Slade Foundry Company in overseas market expansion. The forth chapter is the analysis of external&internal factors. Then we have analyzed the industry structure with the five forces model. Finally, we have summarized the opportunities&threats, and the strengths and weaknesses of the company, and evaluated the external&internal factors with external factors evaluation matrix. After analyzing the external&internal factor, we have brought forward the strategy of the company. In chapter five, we have established five strategies by SWOT model and made the sequence of the five strategies by Quantitative strategic planning matrix. We have reached a Conclusion that the company should take focus the strategy of Market penetration. Then we have analyzed the target market and the choice of entry mode.
