Borussia Dortmund Engine Sensor Production Line Transfer Project Risk Management Research

With the economic globalization and China’s rapid economic development, the multinational companies have to seize the huge potential of the Chinese market. Multinational companies of Europe and the United States in order to develop business in China, quickly occupied the Chinese market, the fastest way is to set up factories in China and set up R&D center in china, directly cross-border transfer of their mature production line or the R&D staff to china.During transfering the cross-border project, which usually it need to cover many changes related to raw materials, equipment, logistics, supply chain, market and many other factors and involved very extensive functions, including sales, purchasing, engineering, quality, personnel, manufacturing and logisticsand so on.Transfer of transnational projects, there are many risks, the study of these risk issues, and contribute to the cross-border project to transfer the smooth realization of the overall objectives.In this paper, the transfer of the Dortmund engine speed sensor production line as the background to a study on the risk management issues of cross-project transfer.Introduction of the research literature’s background and significance, combing, induction and synthesis the performance of literature at home and abroad. History of the development of the project risk management and its development situations introduced. Then, the cross-border project to transfer the risk to set up another and risk assessment theories and methods were introduced, and focused on the risk assessment of the potential failure modes based methods (FMEA).Finally, introduce the Dortmund engine speed sensor production line transfer project (DTM project) for the actual case, identify the risk factors that may arise in the project transfer process using FMEA method to carry out an assessment of the project risks, and finally made a number of risk responsemeasures.
