The Development Of China Trade Facility And Its Impact On Trade Competitiveness

With the rapid development of world economic liberalization, it is important to remove the obstacle of trade barriers. Especially after the economic crisis, many developed countries took actions to protect their own economy. At this time, trade facilitation shows huge function as an important measure in the field of international trade. Every country has different development in trade facilitation, as the biggest developing country, China has joined in the international market well after take party in WTO. Under the international environment, it is essential to research countries’ trade facilitation including China. And the measure of trade facilitation can push the development of trade of our country, and have positive function to trade competition. Then it is positive to study the influence of trade facilitation to trade competition.The paper uses<The Global Enabling Trade Report> of World Economic Forum, this report put forward to an index to measure the trade facilitation-ETI in2008. From every pillar of ETI, the paper studies the development of China trade facilitation. And choosing BRICS countries and developed countries and new economies in Asia, this paper uses these countries to compare to China on ETI, conclude the advantages and disadvantages of China in trade facilitation. Secondly, studying the trade competition of China from SITC, making use of TC and RCA. and having the conclusion that competition in primary products decreases slightly, while competitiveness in manufactures products are increasing. The paper chooses the data on ETI from2008-2010to establish the panel data model. Its aim is to measure the RCA of SITC0-8under the trade facility. From the model, we can conclude that border administration, transport and communications infrastructure, the business environment have the positive function on RCA, however, the market access has the negative function. At last, on the basis of the outcome of model, the paper put forwards to some measures to improve the RCA in our country.
