An Analysis On The Contribution To Local Economic Development Made By Tourism Activities In Nature Reserves

Nature Reserve as a means of protecting natural resources in our country has existed for many years. With the country’s tourism industry developed, nature resources protection relies on the tourism activities closely. After2000, the tourism in nature reserve has become a practice of nature reserve development. A wide range of tourism development has brought huge economic benefits, as a new way to solve the poverty problem in nature reserve. But in fact, the tourism development of nature reserves does not play its due role of poverty alleviation. And in many areas, communities and local government usually form a hostile relationship as the distribution of benefits between them. In this context, the study takes out some practical significance contribution to the local economic growth. In economic perspective, through the establishment of the evaluation model, in order to make the nature reserve surrounding community residents share more benefits.This paper first introduces the research background which aims at explaining the necessity and feasibility of the research. Second, this paper reviews the previous research achievements and summarizes the research findings of nature reserves’economic field by scholars at home and broad. Third, this paper explores some methods of nature reserve contribution. Forth, basing on the multiplier theory, combining with the characteristics of nature reserves, this paper defines the ECSNTE model (Economic Contribution Studies of Natural reserves Tourist Exploitation). Finally, this paper applies ECSNTE model for nature reserve’s investigation of the object data collection and analysis of the results. This paper proposes the whole nature reserve of ECSNTE multiplier and ECSNTE per capita multiplier. According to the change of these two coefficient, this paper analyzes the condition of the nature reserve management and put forward some solutions. There are:(1) Increasing investment in nature reserves;(2) coordinating the benefit relationship in nature reserve;(3) improving the competitiveness of residents;(4) strengthening the education of ecology.In short, the research can play a certain reference and guidance function in nature reserves economy, and also promote a reasonable distribution of the economic benefits in nature reserve.
