Research On Land Use/Cover In Daiyunshan Nature Reserve And Its Surrounding Regions

Land use and land cover change is one of the main causes of global environmental change.Rapid development of economy and the marvelous change of LULC have great impact on the life of human and the natural environment.Therefore,study on the trend of the land use/cover change and its driving factors can provide a scientific basis for the rational use of local land resources,and it can help to achieve the sustainable development of local area.This paper used remote sensing images which included 1984 MSS,1996 TM,2006 ETM+ and 2014 OLI to study the land use/cover changes of Daiyunshan Nature Reserve(DNR)and its surrounding regions.FRAGSTATS software was used to calculate the landscape indicators and analyze the changes of the landscape pattern of LULC.Based on local economic and social information,a qualitative analysis was carried out to analyze the driving mechanism of LULC change in the study area.Based on the LULC study,nature of DNR was quantitatively assessed in each year,and combined with the actual situation of the reserve the thesis put forward rational countermeasures to protect DNR.,The main results of the research are listed as follows:(1)Multi-step classification method was used to greatly improve the classification accuracy,and the overall accuracy of four images reached 91.7%,92.73%,94.12%and 92.39%.The Kappa coefficients were 0.8428,0.8653,0.8861 and 0.8529,which could satisfy the classification accuracy requirements.(2)As a whole,the ratios of each land use type in the DNR from 1984 to 2014 had little variation.The area of forest land showed a trend of increase and the farmland showed a trend of decrease,which showed that the DNR had positive protection effect.The extent of land use change in the periphery was greater than that in the DNR.The area of urban land was increasing,and this showed that the degree of human disturbance in the periphery was greater than which in the DNR.(3)As can be seen from the index of the dynamic degree of comprehensive land use,the LULC change rate was relatively small in the DNR from 1984 to 2014,and the value of LC was 0.09%.Although the value of LC was increasing,the rate of change was relatively slow.The LULC change rate fast changed in the periphery during the period,and the value of LC is 0.31%.The rate of change in the periphery was small from 1984 to 1996,and the value of LC was 0.16%.The maximum rate appeared from 2006 to 2014,and the value of LC reached 1.01%.(4)From 1984 to 2014,the degree of landscape fragmentation showed an increasing trend in DNR and its surrounding,and the landscape pattern became more complex.During the study period,the landscape connectivity increased and the landscape diversity decreased in DNR.In the periphery,the landscape connectivity decreased and the landscape diversity increased.(5)The analysis of the driving factors showed that natural factors'contribution had low impact,and the LULC change was mainly affected by human factors.The rapid population growth led to local people's urgent demand for food,which finally led to the increase of the exploitation and utilization on unused land resources.Besides that,the prosperity of ceramics industry directly contributed to the urbanization process,and promoted the development of education,medical care,housing and other public service,which increased pressure on urban area.These factors had a certain impact on LULC change in the study area.(6)The assessment results of nature of DNR in each year were listed as follows,0.3980 in 1984,0.5082 in 1996,0.6291 in 2006 and 0.6333 in 2014,which showed that the protection effect is obvious since the establishment of DNR.The comprehensive score increased from 0.3980 to 0.6333.Vegetation quickly recovers in DNR,and the main vegetation types get effective protection.According to the research results,this thesis provides reasonable suggestions and measures for the protection of DNR,and also provides a reference for local government to make planning and management policies in protected area.The thesis provides a new assessment method for nature of DNR,which can help to develop a long-term mechanism for sustainable development in protected area.
