Evaluation Of Ecological Benefits Of Yangjifeng Nature Reserve

Based on the comprehensive investigation of the fauna and flora population in the Yangjifeng nature reserve, an ecological evaluation, whose value is 72.3 has been conducted in this paper. The results indicate that the Yangjifeng nature reserve has higher protection value, especially for the forest ecosystem types in this district, inthe whole province even in the whole country(at present, Yangjifeng nature reserve has been already classified as the provincial nature reserve, applying to the National Forestry Bureau actively for the national-level nature reserve). In addition, by setting up 6 typical samples in the protection zone (2 in cone areas, experiment areas andbuffering areas respectively) to observe and survey the canopy interception water, the retaining water of dry branches and fallen leaves and the retaining water of soil in the protection zone in the past half year, this paper calculated the benefits physicalquantity(效益物理量) of the self- retaining water in forest of protection zone;according to relation model of forest stand volume with biomass, this paper estimatedthe forest biomass of different forest types and then according to the mean density of dry material of varieties of trees and the ecological benefits physical quantity ofphotosynthesis produces 1 ton dry materials absorbs CO₂ and releases O₂, this paperadopted the method of direct water price evaluation and the method of equal benefits replacement to measure the currency of the above three kinds of ecological benefits physical quantities in order to achieve the purpose of carrying on tangible evaluation of ecological benefits of Yangjifeng nature reserve .The results are as follows:(1) the ecological evaluation value of the Yangjifeng nature reserve is 72.3,(2) the monetary total amount of ecological benefits of forest of the Yangjifeng nature reserve is 9.982* 106 yuan, among which 4.222* 106 yuan or 42.3% of the totalare within the 256 forest compartments in cone area, 3.484* 106 yuan or 34.9% of thetotal are within the 242 forest compartments in buffering area, the, 2.276* 106 yuan or 22.8% of the total are within the 322 forest compartments in experiment area.
