In Choosing The Leading Industry In Jiangsu Province Industrial And Upgrade Of Industrial Structure Research

The leading industry and upgrading of the industrial structure is the key factor affecting the quality, quantity and growth of regional industrial economic. On the basis of industrial economics, regional economics, with the upgrading of industrial structure, leading industry choice theory and the existing research results, we take Jiangsu Province as the sample, to research the leading industry selection and the upgrading of industrial structure through theoretical analysis and empirical study.This study is mainly divided into four parts:The first part is the study on industrial structure, leading industry theory. We analysis the connotation of the upgrading of industrial structure, characteristics of leading industry and Leading industry’s role in promoting industrial structure. We found that the leading industry is mainly to promote regional industrial structure adjustment and upgrading through the association mechanism and diffusion mechanism. The second part is the study of the current situation of Jiangsu industrial structure. We found the industry plays a leading role to promote economic growth in the process of economic growth in Jiangsu. Jiangsu now is in the later stages of industrialization, and the industrial structure has been formed with Jiangsu characteristics. We also found some problems in the industrial structure. The third part is the study of leading industry evaluation method and selection standard. We use DEA method to choose leading industries,and we set a benchmark system with5categories and13standards,including comparative advantage, technological progress, industrial development, industry association, the sustainable development. With data analysis we chose the leading industry group. The fourth part is the study on leading industries to promote the upgrading of industrial structure, direction and strategy. That the Government, under the guidance of the socio-economic strategies and industrial policies, combined with the regional stage of economic development and industrial structure evolution, make operational plans or mentoring program and take the appropriate measures can be oriented industrial structure and regulation. On this basis, combined with Jiangsu industrial development trend in recent years, we think that the government to develope leading industries, to promote the upgrading of industrial structure should follow5principles, including the implementation of the guidance of the industry around the leading industries, optimize the environment for the development of leading industries, guide and encourage enterprises to implement technological innovation, strengthen training and the introduction of talent, enhance the efficiency of energy utilization of resources.
