The Study Of Strategy On The Development Of Green Credit Business Of Commercial Banks In China

In recent years, environmental problems have become a focus issue that allcountries concerned. All countries hope to relieve the negative influence to theenvironment by reducing the discharge of carbon dioxide by joint efforts. With the high speed development of economy, our country faces rigorous environmentalproblems，many cities of our country appear the hazy weather and the sandstorm weather. The main reason of these problems is that we develop economy at the expense of the environment. Facing such bad living environment, we need totake measures to improve. Each session of the government make many efforts in protecting the environment. For example: our country regards environmental protection as a basic state policy in the long time; In1980s, our country put forward strategy of sustainable development; In2003,our country put forward the scientific development, put people first and aim at comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable development; the eighteen National Congress, our country fully implement economic construction, political construction, social construction, cultural construction, the construction of ecological civilization.Environmental problems of our country have been improved by the effortsof our government, but it can’t only be depended on administrative method, butalso economic means. In2007, the relevant state departments of our country putforward the policy of green credit, which encouraged commercial banks to make a contribution to our environmental protection career by developing green credi t business. The green credit business of our country has been implemented for5years, but the process is slow. By introducing the situation and the necessity ofthe development of green credit business in our country, the paper want to tellus the we need to learn the successful experience of the Equator Principle of western countries, and to seize the advantage and to find out the disadvantage on green credit business of commercial banks of our country. Be based on those analysis, I put forward some beneficial strategies in order to promote the development of green credit business in China.
