A Study On How The Customer Knowledge Acquisition Impacts The Performance Of Software Development Projects

This paper rebiews the customer knowledge management theory and software project performance studies, and found that the existing studies mainly focus on how to leverage customer knowledge management, how to manage customer knowledge, and it’s lack of in-depth research for knowledge management, especially for customer knowledge. The customer knowledge acquisition is particularly important for the knowledge-intensive industries such as software development projects. Therefore, this paper mainly to study the customer knowledge for software development project performance in the theory and application level.Firstly, the specific content of the customer knowledge acquisition is displayed. This paper classifies the customer knowledge for software project mainly in three aspects:the knowledge about customer, the knowledge customer needed and knowledge from customers. After the acquisition, customer knowledge is needed to transfer internally, which involves two processes as the transferation customer knowledge and the integration customer knowledge. Studies have shown that there is a direct impact from customer knowledge acquisition to transferation and integration of customer knowledge.Secondly, the impact relationship between customer knowledge acquisiton and the software project performance. The software project performance measurement is indicated by two indicators: the products indicator and the process indicator. The research findings show that three different types of customer knowledge have the impact on the process of software project, which also involves the transformation customer knowledge and the integration customer knowledge, and at last all these factors affect the performance of the software project. And, on this basis, the structural equation in SPSS software to comprehensive statistical impact of various factors on the impact of the software project performance, customer knowledge acquisition finalized software project performance is founded.Finally, the model is applicaled in a project, and the survey is done to test and verify this model. And the model is revised and testified to be feasible.
