Electrical Appliances Product Reverse Logistics Management Research

Household appliance company mainly focuses on sales of normal goods so they pay attention to positive logistics seriously. But the performance of reverse logistics is very poor because company’s policy does not attach importance to it. The competition in the household appliance market is fierce and the price reduction cycle is generally shorter. Without timely disposal of stocks in reverse logistics, the cycle of this part is even more than5months. It is a tremendous time cost for household appliance company. This point is always neglected by household appliance company but a clear optimization ideas and management methods can be established just by combing the various aspects of reverse logistics management.The thesis combined the analysis of elements, complexity of reverse logistics and long working experience, practice in logistics department of household appliance company to deeply analyzed and studied processes, systems, policies of reverse logistics. Finally, based on existing resource and without increasing investment, the original reverse logistics system was optimized and a huge improvement was made by the methods of process rebuilding, information systems sharing and development of sales channels. The conclusion of the thesis is generally applicable to the reverse logistics process of household appliance company. And also because there is no requirement for capital inputs, but it can create a profit, so it is easy to change the current situation that reverse logistics is neglected by company.The thesis is divided into the following five chapters, the first chapter is an introduction to the background of the study, the significance of the topics and contents of the thesis. The second chapter explains logistics process of household appliance including positive and reverse logistics in order to show the characteristics of this industry. Chapter three is an analysis of the complexity of reverse logistics management for household appliance, the analysis was made from four aspects, they are game between positive and reverse logistics, logistic operation, business process and nondeterminacy. In chapter four, result came out from a detail improvement example which was optimized by rebuilding duplication and waste of the reverse logistics system, besides this, the usage of information systems, improvement of sales channels are also mentioned. The last chapter summarize this thesis and put forward the prospects.
