In recent years, with the increasing improvement of economy andpeople’s living standards, the people’s consciousness of environmentalprotection is also strengthened. Thus, the reverse logistics, based on thesustainable development of environment, has caused the widespreadconcern in the world of academics and business fields at home and abroad. However, such issues as drug safety and medical waste are frequentlyreported in the news reports. Therefore, how to accelerate theimplementation of medicine reverse logistics is our present challengeswhich should be overcome urgently.Using the method of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis, thispaper, on the basis of the review of domestic and foreign literatures, examines the factors of implementing medicine reverse logistics and theinterrelationship among reverse logistics, performance of reverse logisticsand enterprise competitive advantage. Four conclusions are drawn. asfollowed:(1) According to the result of exploratory factor analysis, factorsthat affect reverse logistics implementation can be divided into fourfactors, including enterprise external drivers, enterprise externalobstructions, enterprise internal drivers and enterprise internalobstructions. Application of medicine reverse logistics are divided intotwo factors, including return logistics and reverse logistics; Reverselogistics performance is divided into three factors, including economicperformance, environmental performance and safety benefits.Competitive advantages are divided into two factors, including thegeneral competitive advantage and the green competitive advantage.(2)Through descriptive statistics analysis and correlation analysis, theresult of analysis shows that the variables are significantly associated.(3) Multivariate linear regression analysis is used to verify the relationshipamong implementation of medicine reverse logistics, its performance andcompetitive advantage. The results show that some factors of theimplementation of medicine reverse logistics have significant positiveeffects on the performance, and return logistics has no significant effecton economic benefits; Implementation of medicine reverse logistics has asignificant positive impact on competitive advantage. Some factors ofreverse logistics performance have a significant positive impact oncompetitive advantage, and among them, environmental benefits have nosignificant positive effect on the general competitive advantage.(4)One-way ANOVA analysis is used to verify whether or not there aredifferences caused by the different sizes of enterprises in terms of theimplementation of the reverse logistics and its performance. The resultsshow that the different sizes of enterprises have no difference in theimplementation of the reverse logistics, but there are differences in thereturn logistics; The different sizes of enterprises have significantdifferences in the performance of the reverse logistics. Finally, the paper, in the basis of the research conclusions, points outthe problems existing in the implementation of medicine reverse logisticsin sampled enterprises, and then puts forward some relevant suggestionsto provide helpful references for the implementation of the reverselogistics of the pharmaceutical manufacturing firms.
