In the era of knowledge economy, the technological innovation capability is notjust the significant strategy resources, but also the key factor for the corporations togain competition advantage and core capability. More and more corporations haverealized that the technological innovation is not just rely on the internal resources, butmostly depends on the network resources in the social relations network. Therefore,the research on firm social capital has provided a bright new way to gain resources forcorporations. In the more competitive global world, the corporation is no longer thesingle actor, The corporation has built a relation network with other organizations.The manufacturing industry gets the resources like information, technology andknowledge for technological innovation capability’s promotion, then achievessustainable development in a turbulent market environment. The social capital theoryfinds that firm social capital can provide knowledge for corporations. Therefore,knowledge has become the bridge that combines the social capital and technologicalinnovation. This thesis combines these three factors to confirm that the knowledgetransfer’s function between the vertical social capital and technology innovationcapability.This thesis is based on the firm social capital theory; technology innovationtheory and knowledge transfer theory. The author mainly focused on the influence ofvertical social capital’s three dimensions to knowledge transfer and technologicalinnovation capability, and the impact of knowledge transfer on technologicalinnovation capability. The author summarized the relationship between the firmvertical social capital, knowledge transfer and technological innovation capacity, andproposed the theoretical models. Based on the questionnaire, the research verifies theassumption using the SPSS, concluded as bellow:(a) The structural dimension, relational dimension and cognitive dimension havesignificant positive impact on the knowledge transfers between organizations.(b) Knowledge transfer has significant positive effects on the technicalinnovation capability.(c) In the process of vertical social capital positive effect in firm technology innovation capability, knowledge transfer has played a partial intermediary role.
