Since the1990s, globalization trend to speed up, humans began to enter theknowledge economy era, the organization and the environment are profound changes,have no boundary career continuously strengthen trend. In the unstable, full of variety oftimes, having a positive psychological capital, not only is a new strategy protecting thepersonal career success, but also is the new direction of human resources developmentand management, but this strategy has not been consciously scientific used. Based on theexistence of the problem in the existing research, such as the chaos of psychologicalcapital concept, the conflict of theory, the difficulties of measurement, the lack ofempirical research, the dispute of career success criteria and so on, this study in China’scultural background, based on the research of psychology and the actual organizationmanagement, discusses deeply the relationship between staff’s psychological capital andcareer success.This study make a systematic search of the existing research results through theliterature review method, and inductive analysis, and defines the concepts and dimensionof psychological capital and career success, and advances research hypotheses based onthis. Then through the questionnaire survey method, I collect and analyze data, and testhypotheses, and draw the conclusion.First of all, this study based on the psychological capital dimensions Luthans putforward, combined with Chinese culture background puts forward three other dimensions,namely the thanksgiving, and forgiveness and positive thinking. And career success isdivided into subjective career success and objective career model, using SPSS17.0software I test analysis, fixed the index system and form the formal questionnaire. AfterQuestionnaire revised we extend them in three MBA degree courses and two in-serviceeducation training class of Liaoning university, a total of151valid questionnaires werereceived, using SPSS17.0software exploratory analysis and confirmatory factor analysisthe sample, and verifies reliability and validity of the questionnaire used in Chinasituation, and obtained the conclusion that psychological capital have seven dimensionsconstitutes: confidence, hope, optimism, toughness, thanksgiving, forgiveness andpositive thinking. Career success has the subjective and objective points, promotion times and compensation levels constitute the objective career success, subjective careersuccessful namely job satisfaction.Second, discusses the differences between workers’ psychological capital and thecareer success in the demographic variable. The results show that: in addition to, thegender on psychological capital and career success were no significant difference, age,education, working years, job position all are significant influence on the psychologicalcapital and career success. Among them, age and working years for the psychologicalcapital are significantly different, followed by education degree and work position;Education degree and working years are significant influence on career success, followedby age and position.Finally, this study analyzes the relationship confidence, hope, optimism, toughness,gratitude, forgiveness, positive thinking and objective career success, subjective careersuccessful, and prove that the relationship between psychological capital dimensions andpromotion times is significantly positive correlation, and the seven dimensions on salarylevel also have significant influence; The relationship between psychological capitaldimensions and subjective career success, namely professional satisfaction is verysignificant positive correlation. So through the above analysis, the relationship betweenpsychological capital and career success is significantly positive correlation.Compared with other related articles, this study not only increases psychologicalcapital new elements—thanksgiving, forgiveness and positive thinking, richpsychological capital dimensions, also author and construct a conceptual model ofpsychological capital and career success, deeply understand the relationship betweenpsychological capital and career success. This study not only in theory has innovationvalue, also for the organization’s human resources management has the very strongpractical significance. But, this research has the defects on the sample ranged and theresearch object and so on. In the future research, hope to do the further perfection.
