The converter for steel melting-refining-continuous casting process has basically implemented based automation and process automation, but automation systems are detected and controlled based on the module production equipment as a core, thus the "information island" is formed between different production equipments. The "information island" type of stand-alone automation is hard to achieve the integration of the process control systems and the management systems. Because of the lack of information resource sharing and unified management of the production process, it is not possible to establish a unified information integration of application system, and the multi-sector production data and business data can not be integrated. Therefore, it is difficult for it to adapt to modern steel production requirements of information technology.The study takes San Ming Steel Plant as background and the actual production as base to establish an information management system to the steel melting-continuous casting process integrated optimization system energy services, with the purpose to solve the network problem mentioned above during the converter steel melting-refining-continuous casting process, to set up a unified information management system for the converter steel melting-refining-continuous casting process, to realize the data integration, to collect, store and transfer the required data based on process temperature optimization system, to ensure that the process smooth data flow node, to provide data guarantee for the optimization system and realize data pooling and sharing. In addition, based on unified information management system, study also aims to further statistic and analysis data in order to provide timely and reliable support and the reference for important historical data for the converter steel melting-refining-continuous casting process.Firstly, in the view of actual process on site, the paper analyzes the San Ming Steel Plant steel production process, combined with practical automation of steel production of various data analysis, and clarifies the system management data object and its specific circumstances. Confirm the scope of the system requirements and system capabilities, and analyze system requirements goals, to lay a solid foundation for the system design and implementation. Secondly, based on the system requirements analysis, a detailed system design work is carried out. The standard design to the code and database system model is conducted, and data compression algorithms are studied and analyzed to identify the appropriate compression algorithm to store data. Correspondingly database optimization and a corresponding test analysis of the performance of the database are also conducted. It realized sharing and communication between data through OPC, data transmission and ADO technology.Finally, the paper summarized the whole study and a comprehensive, objective evaluation to the system is conducted, at the same time the directions for improvement are also explained.
