According to some statistics data, it was said that the cargos’ delivery of more thaneighty percent of the world international trade, especially in Asian region, is fulfilledthrough ocean shipping. The international shipping industry is established because of thisneed and thus has the closest relationship with it, even to be called twin brothers of them.Then the related business including the shipping agency industry are derived anddeveloped rapidly. As regards to the shipping agency enterprise, it likes a bridgeconnecting the shipping company, the port and the cargos’ owner during internationaltrade. Meanwhile its development and growth is bonded along with the internationaltrade and the shipping industry.The development and increasing of the shipping agency industry was phased intoChina with the proceeding of the reform and opening, the development of Chineseimport and export trade and Chinese accession to the WTO.Under the circumstance of the world economic globalization to be pushed andaccelerated by the rapid development of science, the unbalance and unpredictable factorof world economic have been introduced into its system. Nowadays, the development ofworld economic is slowing down due to occurrence of World Financial Crisis in2008and European Debit Crisis recently. Although China still has its stead development ratio,its economical environment becomes more complicated. Eventually the Chinese shippingagency enterprises are facing up the situation hard to make profit and againchoice-making of how to survive and how to develop better.Based on the strategic management theory and using several methods of strategyanalysis, taking out company M as a research case, this article acquires some results thatgive this company some suggestion on its development strategy, planning and routeunder the current situation with hoping that would be of practical and a certainsignificance to not only the similar company but also the Chinese shipping agencyindustry.
