Fujian Agricultural Products Logistics Development Present Situation And Countermeasure Analysis

The modern logistics industry is the outcome of the evolution of the modern market economy and economic globalization at a certain stage. Its level of development is an important parameter to evaluate the overall strength and the modernization process of a city, an economic region or a nation. Fujian, located on the southeast coast, is one of the provinces with rapid economic development. In recent years, the characteristic agricultural industries of Fujian are developing at a fast speed and the agricultural cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan is expanding. In such a context, the improvement of farm produce logistics not only helps to deepen the cross-strait cooperation, but also presses ahead with the development of Fujian’s modern agriculture and it is the mandatory requirement for accelerating the construction of a socialist new countryside in the Western Taiwan Straits Economic Zone. Fujian’s farm produce logistics industry is growing vigorously. Particularly, a faster development trend and potential have been demonstrated in some fields and developed coastal areas.This dissertation is divided into the following seven parts:Chapter1introduces the research issues, the background, meaning and motivation to develop China’s farm produce logistics, relevant research trends from home and abroad and the research approaches, contents and possible innovations of this dissertation. Chapter2discusses and analyzes the definition and characteristics of farm produce logistics, the definition of farm produce logistics industry and the category and characteristics of farm produce logistics system. Chapter3explores and learns from the experience of foreign farm produce logistics industry:to give full play to the role of government regulation; to introduce, improve and absorb advanced logistics technology and management methods; to cultivate efficient farm produce logistics organizations and advance the informationization of farm produce logistics; to establish a modern logistics distribution center of agricultural products; to strengthen basic education and training on logistics and cultivate compound talents adapting to modern logistics development trend. Chapter4discusses the pattern of China’s farm produce logistics and further puts forward which transaction mode of farm produce logistics should be selected. The third-party logistics should be vigorously developed. Chapter5analyzes the status quo of Fujian’s farm produce logistics transaction mode. Chapter6puts forward suitable solutions for the province’s characteristic farm produce logistics, based on the status quo of its transaction mode. Chapter7Conclusion and Outlook...
