Research On3PL Enterprise COD Pattern Under The Cloud-computing Background

With the promoting of the economic globalization and the information, modernlogistics has changed from traditionally supporting storage or transport service tosupporting comprehensive logistics service with the help of modern technique,information technology and management. The logistics is considered as the third profitresource following the raw materials and the labor, the last virgin land for reducing thecost, and the economic and reasonable service pattern in the process of theindustrialization, the development degree of which has become the dominating sign ofthe modernization of the country and the comprehensive national strength.The COD business of the3PL enterprise is considered as the primary stage of thenational logistic financial business, the earliest logistics financial business. As avalue-added service, the COD business required the3PL enterprise to get the paymentafter distributing the commodity for the consumers. As the new type of marketingmethods such as e-business, TV shopping and postal shopping started to enter intopeople’s life, the COD business of the3PL enterprise has become the first choice ofpaying for the commodity for the consumers. Due to adopting this method of payment,the sales performance of many enterprises which supported the COD business hasincreased dramatically.Cloud computing is the newest product for information technology, indicating thetrend of information technology outsourcing. With the arrival of the era of cloudcomputing, information technology will enter into huge numbers of families just likewater and electricity. Scale and professional Information technology application willsignificantly reduce enterprise information system construction cost and maintenancecost, strengthen the application convenience and stimulate the informationdevelopment of the enterprise.This thesis introduces the development background of the cloud computing,analyze the current problems of the existing COD business, explores the positiveimpact from the cloud computing technology to the development of the COD business,tries to create the new pattern for the COD business on the cloud computing technology platform and discusses the feasibility and the advantage of the creativepattern in realistic environment. It is expected to take advantage of the advancedinformation technology to improve the logistics activity efficiency, to explore the spaceof the value-added logistics service and to excavate the unlimited possibilities of thedevelopment of the logistic industry.
