With the end of the later transition period of the WTO, rely on their powerfuleconomic strength and advanced management techniques, multinational foodcompanies stepped up to seize China’s grain market, began in China mergers andcooperation, increased competition and reduced profit margins, our local foodenterprises living environment is becoming increasingly difficult. In this regard, localfood enterprises should actively respond to the pressure brought by multinationalgrain merchants and challenges.Local food enterprises is very difficult to achievesuccess in the fierce competition on its own power,and should be actively build a"plow-to-table" of a perfect whole supply chain, to leading enterprises as the coreactively promote supply chain integration, in order to obtain a competitive advantageto the multinational grain merchants under the impact of a firm foothold in order toensure our food security.In this paper, we take local food companies for study to explore the factorsaffecting the supply chain integration. Based on combed through the literature assupply chain integration, food supply chain characteristics, the author refer the TOEmodel which was proposed by Tornatzky&Fleisher (1990), take the TOE model asthe basic framework, from technical, organizational, and environmental dimensions toanalysis, combined with our food supply chain characteristics and the actual situationof local enterprises, through expert interviews and a questionnaire survey of foodbusinesses to extract elements of the industry, then integrate into the TOE frameworkto increase the applicability and specificity of their industry, and made a study of thesystem of affecting factors.Through questionnaire design, field research and use theSPSS16.0statistical software for data processing and analysis to the results of thequestionnaire, The author concluded that factors system finally. Then this article takeChangzhou grain modern logistics center’s rice supply chain integration as a case, toidentify factors affecting the enterprise supply chain integration and the weight ofeach factor for further analysis, and focused on the promotion of the enterprise supplychain integration rice policy proposals.The main conclusions of this study are: the system of affecting factors to thelocal food enterprises supply chain integration were divided into nine dimensions,namely information technology, comparative advantage, efficacy, safety and reliability; core enterprise culture of cooperation, business ability, executive support;food supply chain and marketing partnerships, industry competition, environmentaland institutional environment. Through the empirical findings of Changzhou grainmodern logistics center’s rice supply chain integration, the degree of importance fromhigh to low of the impact factors of the enterprise supply chain integration is externalenvironmental factors, information technology factors, factors within the organization;for all the nine factors on the rice supply chain integration,the degree of influenceranking in terms of the partnerships between production and marketing, corporatecapacity and institutional of the environment, the comparative advantage oftechnology. Conclusions of this study has some reference to other companies’ supplychain integration.
